Quadrilateral sinus of Khwarizmi:

In an anonymous Arabic treatise, which has been attributed by experts to Khwarizmi, a quadrant provided with a grid is used as a device to replace arithmetical computation by geometrical operations. The participants of the workshop will receive a model of such a geometric quadrant and learn how to use it in a geometric way to perform the equivalent of arithmetical and trigonometrical computations.
